I use Mendeley and find it really intuitive and easy to use. I tried using end note as well but I find the interface much nicer in Mendeley, it’s also free!
I use mendeley too. I find it really useful for commenting and highlighting parts of articles and the group folders are pretty useful for sharing papers.
The only problem (although I think this happens with a lot of software) is that the word plug in sometimes fails or is very slow when adding refs in.
I use zotero too – it’s really simple to use in that it’s just a web-based plug in (so you don’t have to download anything). But I’ve heard good things about Mendeley!

Might Zotero be an alternative solution? I’ve downloaded it, but never used it so far.. I’ll let you know how it goes with it..
